Heroic Concealed Carrier Shoots Suspect, Saves Deputy’s Life

This amazing story of a Concealed Carry Hero of America who was forced to make a split-second decision to take matters into his own hands, caught our attention at iconcealed.com.

A concealed carrier in Estero (FL) answered a deputy’s cry for help and drew his weapon on the suspect beating the officer. When the suspect refused to stop his attack after several warnings from the concealed carrier, the concealed carrier opened fire and shot the suspect off the deputy, thus saving the life of the deputy.

Deputy First Class Dean Bardes, a 12-year-veteran, was working an accident at mile marker 126 when the suspect came upon him, causing Bardes to pursue him, according to multiple sources. Bardes and the suspect exited their vehicles at the Corkscrew Road exit and a fight started, sources said.

The passerby, who had a Concealed Weapons License, exited his vehicle and instructed the suspect to stop beating the deputy. But after the suspect ignored the command, the passerby had not choice and shot the suspect three times. The suspect later died.

Although Deputy Bardes was crying for help, he was not shot. He was treated and released from a local hospital.

The video account (below) suggests that the deputy was lying on his back with the suspect on top of him, injured and taking a pretty bad beating when the concealed carrier came to his rescue.

After the concealed carrier told the suspect to cease his attack multiple times, the concealed carrier felt that the deputy’s life was at risk, took an angle that got the deputy out of the line of fire as much as possible.

The concealed carrier proceeded to fire three shots, killing the suspect but saving the life of Deputy Bardes.

The team at iconcealed.com have only one thing to say to this Concealed Carry Hero of America…
